Kid's Saddle & Australian Saddle For Sale Kid's saddle $100 ~ call Cindy at 425-4421 Brand new Aussie Saddle $250 ~ call Gina at 425-1088 Daisy Daisy is approximately 20 years old, she is about 15 to 15.2 hands high, she knows her gymkhana patterns very well and, from what I was told, she was an ex-high school rodeo horse. I have not ridden her as a trail horse, so I don’t know how she would do. She has been used as a tryout horse for the Reno Rodeo Flag Team and did a great pattern. She is very much the alpha mare and doesn't seem to like to be around other horses, she would probably do well with a person who doesn’t have any horses. She does not buck and has a very nice lope. I think she might be good for a beginner to intermediate rider, someone who would make her listen. I paid $1,500.00 for her 2 years ago, but would like to get $1,000.00 for her. I would also allow the person who is looking to buy her to try her out before they buy. I also have a goat, I think it is a miniature goat, but not sure. If anyone would like her, she is free. My Daughter used to show and my father in law breeds, raises and trains miniature horses. I am hoping that you might know someone in 4H that might be interested in him. A miniature horse can not be ridden but he has done hunter jumper, obstacle course, and he was green broke to drive. However it has been so long since he has driven a cart it would require training in that area. Is she willing to exercise a horse to help her get into shape? Does she love to groom and talk to horses? Then we might have the horse for you! Peppermint is a sixteen year old registered quarter horse. She helped our daughter champion in local horse shows years ago in Western & English Pleasure and Equitation and loves to be pampered and brushed. After years of service to our family we are looking to place Peppermint in a new home. She can be full of energy but loves to perform and do well. She is motivated by praise and must have an owner that will spend quality time with her. She is somewhat underweight currently but is showing progress with a high grain, alfalfa diet. Her teeth were floated last year and she is current on all shots. She has recently been wormed. She has had constant foot care by a dependable quality farrier. She trailers, loads, trail rides, clips, bathes, trims, shoes and performs for anyone that works with respect and leadership. With the rising costs of feed, taking into consideration our current activities (rodeo) we are willing to place Peppermint with the right, active 4-H member through a unique agreement. Peppermint offered our daughter a life changing experience for many years and we would like to offer another young lady that same experience. Can be delivered, it doesn't matter how far. Call Bonnie at 849-2021. Tennessee Walker Gelding For Sale Freddie is black but doing the gray thing nicely now that he is around 17. He was reportedly ridden in shows for several years before they turned him into a pasture pony. We were looking for a TW because I’ve had back surgery and need the smooth ride. The first time I rode him I was on his back for an hour and I never felt it in my back. (I rode my sister’s Appaloosa at a walk for 10 minutes and my back hurt so bad I hobbled for the rest of the day!) Freddie is just more “horse” than I want to deal with in a pleasure horse. If you know of an experienced rider, preferably one who has ridden TWs and knows their idiosyncrasies, (i.e., that they ride on the bit) who is looking for an experienced horse, Freddie is for sale. He is gentle to work around and loads like a dream. He is 15 years old, 15.1 hands and is a good, strong all-around horse. He has been used for trail rides by our family as well as four years as a 4-H horse doing Western Riding, Western Pleasure, Gymkhana and even Reining by our 16- year-old daughter. My husband used him on several pack trips, including a 4-day trip through the Ruby Mountains. We are selling him because our daughter does not have enough time to ride him and participate in high school sports at the same time. We have owned him for nine years and the decision to sell has not been an easy one because he is a member of our family. Razz is definitely a “people” horse and loves to please. He can carry a flag and was used as a 4-H flag team horse for two years. He was ridden in two parades in 2005-2006. He is current on shots and worming and has always been shoed. He trailers and hauls well and is used to loud motorcycles; clips, ties, bathes, good with his feet, healthy and sound. He will need a rider with some experience.
